Self-taught artist Robert Sholties paints epic images of tragedy and futility with a healthy dose of humor. He creates complex worlds influenced by current social and environmental issues, along with vestiges of his Catholic upbringing. While Sholties' process of painting is highly intuitive, his landscapes are meticulously detailed and rich in scope.

Robert Sholties lives and works in Pennsylvania. He has exhibited his work for over a decade, at venues including Ricco | Maresca Gallery, the Visionary Arts Museum, and the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center.
