Mullein groves in the Thunder Mountain region, West Eldorado Province. Mullein is a hairy biennial plant considered sacred in Rocaterrania. It is used for medicinal purposes.

Personal Significance:

Kuhler was fascinated by the appearance and history of the hairy biennial plant, which was native to Europe and later introduced in the Americas. He was especially intrigued when he learned that many Native Americans used the plant for medicinal purposes, preparing poultices of powdered root to treat sores rashes, and skin infections, applying oil from the flowers to treat earaches, frostbite, eczema (and other external ailments) and smoking the dried leaves to attempt to treat lung ailments. Kuhler himself frequently smoked mullein in his homemade smoking pipes in an attempt to treat his asthma.
