Microorganisms and strata at the bottom of Lago Issuskoye (Lake Jesus Town), the body of water separating eastern Rocaterrania from the United States. Under Cesar Georg Nicholai environmental destruction grew unchecked. Kahn employed the National Labor Service to clean up the lakes and rivers, and to designate nature preserves.
Personal Significance:
From an early age, Kuhler was an environmentalist who abhorred the greed, waste, pollution, littering, and environmental destruction he observed around him in a technology-driven and materialistic American society. Lago Issuskoye lies on the border of Rocaterrania and the United States, so Kuhler pictured the bottom of the lake as a repository of the excesses of American society.
