At the urging of his dear friend and unofficial advisor, Janet Lingart, President Gorghendi Kahn established the Rocaterranian Olympic Games. Representatives from each of the nation’s nine provinces would gather annually at Felsenbad Stadium to compete against each other in fütbol (soccer), tennis, and track and field events.
Personal Significance:
Although he was not athletic himself, Kuhler enjoyed observing sporting events in person and on television. Competition on the basis of athletic performance alone was among the few areas of life relatively unaffected by politics, in Kuhler’s opinion. As someone passionately consumed with politics, he relished sports as a means of escape.
