Rosie Camanga’s tattoo flash art, segued from standardized versions of classic tattoo designs to eccentric and mysterious scenarios that were his alone. Guccione, who lived from 1898 to 1966, left behind a huge archive of drawings, some of which are on view here at the Ricco/Maresca Gallery boothat Independent. You can see how much the artist dug his graphite pencil into the paper, it is embedded there forever.
