Helmut Hladisch was born in 1961 in Vienna, Austria, and has been living in the House of Artists in Gugging since 2013. Hladisch draws from memory and depicts everyday objects or familiar things from his surroundings. The most common motif is the tree. In addition to works that the artist creates from memory, Hladisch works with templates from magazines, lexica or other media. His works have already been on display in the christian berst gallery art brut, France, among others, and can also be found in several public and private collections such as the Hannah Rieger Collection, Austria. Since 2018, a larger selection of his works has also been presented in the long-term exhibition “brain feeling.!” in the museum gugging.
